A temporary boil order has been issued for water users in the city of Flippin.
Mayor Heith Hogan tells KTLO that a major main break occurred in the city, and the order will be in effect as a precaution until further notice.
Areas affected include the following areas in the city- Cemetery Road, Willow Lane, High Mountain Lane, Hillcrest Street (east of orchard), and all areas between Micro Plastics and Ranger Boats Plant 1.
All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded, and only boiled water used for ice making.
