UPDATE: One Person Dead, Over 20 Injured After Shooting at KC Chiefs Victory Parade

The Parade and Rally celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs second straight Super Bowl Championship is marred by a shooting that took place at the end of the rally that killed one and injured over 20 others.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that the incident started right at the end of the rally west of Union Station. Two suspects were taken into custody initially and another was arrested later.

KC Police Chief Stacey Graves said at a news conference that information is still being gathered on the number of injuries and which were directly related to the shooting and others that may have been injured fleeing the scene. 

At the same press conference, Mayor Quinton Lucas said officials with the Kansas City Chiefs indicated that all members of their party were account for and safe and that they send prayers out to everyone impacted by the shooting. Missouri Governor Mike Parson and his wife Teresa were in attendance at the parade and were reported safe shortly after the incident according to a tweet from the governor's X account. 

Radio Station KKFI in Kansas City is reporting that the person killed was one of their DJ’s, Lisa Lopez-Galvin. Other members of her family were also at the parade and were among the wounded.
