Carriage Dispute Impacts Area Viewers

Viewers in the Lakes Region wanting to watch programming from FOX Television including the NFL Playoffs are in the dark currently due to a carriage dispute.

Optimum Cable, whose service region includes the Branson area, is locked into a dispute for an agreement with Nexstar, the company that owns local tv stations KOLR-10, KOZL-27, and KRBK-49 as well as national services.

While KOLR-10 programming is still available for Optimum Customers, the other stations as well as Nexstar's NewsNation Channel, formally WGN America, are currently not available.

The impact for local viewers means some of the NFL Playoffs, including today's Green Bay at Philadelphia, are not available for local viewers with a failure to solve the dispute in the near future could impact Optimum customers from viewing Super Bowl LIX, which will be covered by FOX Sports in February.

Optimum had a previous dispute with the operators of the Bally Sports Networks which resulted in those services being pulled from the Optimum Line-up of services.

Statements from Nexstar and Optimums parent company Altice USA on the dispute can be seen through the links below:
