A Marion County man has been arrested after he allegedly stole jewelry from a residence in Midway where he was doing a job for his employers and then pawning the jewelry.
33-year-old Jessie Benjamin Brown of Yellville is facing two felony charges in connection with the case.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Brown did the job in January. The victims noticed the jewelry missing in mid-February.
When an investigator went to the business to conduct his investigation, it was closed but a truck was parked in front. When the investigator ran the plates, it came back to Brown who has a criminal history. Additional investigation showed Brown has recently pawned jewelry at a pawn shop in Mountain Home.
The investigator accompanied the victims to the store where they positively identified the stolen items.
Brown is charged with felony counts of burglary and theft of property. Brown is free on $50,000 bond.
