N.O.R.M.L. Helps Push Possible Medical Marijuana Reform

N.O.R.M.L. aims to reform marijuana laws, according to J. Kelly Roberts.

The group goes back to the 1970s. It was a response to the Nixon administration's stance that substance has no medical benefits. Roberts said he represents the executive director for the Arkansas branch. The group is supporting a marijuana amendment for consideration.

It's currently waiting on certification. After that, voting is next.

He said his problem with other laws is that no federal guidance exists for producing topical and edible products. This leads to a lack of consistency.

In addition to supporting the reform of such laws, Roberts benefits from medical marijuana. He rolled a semi-truck in 2012 and experienced some crushing to his head. He was put on opioids, but they made the pain worse.

It was the Grandaddy Purp plant that helped him recover. He said it's full of CBD but not THC. More was discussed on the broadcast.

The full interview with Roberts is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
