The Arkansas Beef Council has released the finalist for the inaugural Best Burger in the state contest.

According to the release from the Beef Council, the contest was designed to highlight the best 100% beef burgers prepared by Arkansas Restaurants.

Nominations were accepted by the Beef Council through September with the top two in each of the five regions selected for the final judging.

The two finalist for Region One in northwest Arkansas are both in the Lakes Region. The Cheese Hi-Boy Burger Daisy Queen in Harrison is in the final voting as well as the Local Burger from the Wooden Spoon Provisions Food Truck in Jasper.

An anonymous pane of judges will now travel to those locations as well as the other eight in the final voting with the winner to be named later this month.
