Joseph “Joey” Gary Martin, 13, of Peel, Arkansas.
Joseph “Joey” Gary Martin, 13, of Peel, Arkansas, passed away on March 19, 2025. Joey was born in Roseburg, Oregon, on July 15, 2011, the son of Joseph and Christina (Ikerd) Martin.
Joey was a fun-loving kid. He loved to fish and go bike riding with his friends. Joey had a big heart and was a very giving person. He was a huge fan of the great outdoors; he spent a lot of time roaming outside and doing kid things. Joey was a sports enthusiast, he has participated in playing soccer, football, baseball and basketball. Even though Joey spent most of his time outside, he still enjoyed playing video games and watching Marvel movies. Joey liked giving a hand in the kitchen and helping his mother with cooking. He was an eight-grade student in the Yellville School District.
Joey was taken much too early from this world; it just doesn’t seem fair! From having such a big giving heart, it was decided that he would be an organ donor. At the young age of 13, he became a true hero like the Marvel characters in the movies he watched. Joey will be helping many individuals through his donations. Thank you, Superhero Joey!!! You are so very special.
Joey is preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
He is survived by his mother Christina Martin of the home, his brother AJ and two sisters Isriella and Nevaeh, another brother Joe (Monica) and their 4 children, his aunts and uncles in Oregon, numerous cousins in California and his best-bud William Sargeant (Ashley) his significant other.
Joey will be missed dearly from all that knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be planned once the family moves back to Oregon.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation in Lead Hill, Arkansas. Condolences may be left at www.DiamondStateCremation.com
I hide my tears,
put on my face,
But missing you
is a steady pace.
I smile and seem okay,
but no one misses you
more than me each day.
