Robert Jay Bopp Jr., 93, of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Robert Jay Bopp Jr., 93, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on March 8, 2025, at his home with his daughters by his side. He was born in East Orange, New Jersey, on September 19, 1931, the son of Robert and Ella (Bauer) Bopp.
You might consider Robert a “Jack of all Trades” he could do about anything and repair whatever needed fixing! Robert joined the Army and served our country proudly. He loved the ocean, Robert enjoyed snorkeling, skin diving and spear hunting. He was also very conscience of the environment and wanted to make sure the beaches were cleaned and preserved. When his children were young, he had them cleaning the beaches. One of his favorite places to visit was Mexico, he and the family had a little trailer on the beach where they made great memories throughout the years. Robert was considered a minimalist; his daughters laughed and said he would drive his cars until the wheels fell off. He was a very smart man; he planned his life out where he could retire at 55 and enjoy doing the things he loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Helen Deloris Bopp and brother Ronald Bopp. Robert is survived by his two daughters Laurie (Bill) Amberry and Linda Andersen, his son Stephen Bopp and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Robert will be missed by all that knew and loved him. At this time, there is no service planned.
